You are buying 4 pieces of black abs plastic scuffplates with black center, compatible with a 4 door double cab.

How do you clean a surface before using 3M tape?
Summary Most substrates are best prepared by cleaning with a mixture of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and water* (approximately 50% to 70% IPA) prior to applying 3M™ VHB™ Tapes. oxidation and can increase surface area to improve adhesion.
How to identify front and back.
The longer scuff plates go on the front sills.
The shorter scuff plates go on the rear sills.
Test fit all scuff plates by placing into position before removing the adhesive backing tape.
Slide into position and locate the Groove and the point, this will be the mounting position. Once identified and you are confident with this position, remove the backing tape, and place into that position.
You can see the edge of the scuffplates with the door closed, as they cover the door sill traffic area to the outside radius, if they didn't cover to the outside radius, then you would experience wear and tear on the outside which would defeat the purpose of having a scuff plate, you want to protect as much as posible in this area.
